As a part of its various welfare programmes, 28 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Namching village recently.
Three medical officers of Assam Rifles attained around 350 patients having problems with gastro-intestinal, respiratory dental and skin ailments.
The villagers were also educated on timely vaccination, personal hygiene and HIV/AIDS during the camp, said a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
The press release further said that 28 Assam Rifles also gifted sports items like footballs, volleyballs with nets and other sport kits to the villagers.
The unit also provided ration to selected needy families on monthly basis, it added.
