A young girl studying in Class XII has been hospitalised for mental trauma after some armed personnel in camouflage uniform and suspected to be Army personnel threatened her family members.
The incident reportedly occurred in the night of August 8 at Sorojini Oil Pump, Khangabok.
Traumatised by the incident, 18-year old Madhuri d/o Thokchom Jadumani, the owner of the oil pump, was admitted to Thoubal District Hospital for treatment.
From there she was referred to Shija Hospital yesterday.
According to Sorojini Devi, mother of the young girl, on August 8 at around 11.30 pm, some suspected Army personnel came and banged loudly at the gate of the oil pump which also serve as their residence.
When asked who they were, the intruders identified themselves as Army personnel and said in chaste Manipuri that they were looking for some workshop people.
To this, Sorojini requested for coming the next day.
But they threatened to break open the gate, set fire on the oil pump and killed all the male members if the gate is not opened.
Not long afterward, the suspected Army personnel tried to take away her son-in-law.
At that moment, she realised that her daughter had fainted.
Only after the matter was reported to Thoubal Police, a team of Police Commandos arrived and help her and her daughter, Sorojini said.
Madhu is studying in class XII at Vision Creative School of Science located at Thoubal Okram.
