Imphal, August 18 2015: Md Amin Shah, Parliamentary Secretary (MOBC and Sc & Tech) has been unanimously re-elected as the chairperson of Manipur State Haj Committee.

Md Amin Shah was elected as the chairperson of MSHC during its first meeting held today at the conference hall of MOBEDS.

The meeting was presided by Executive Officer of MSHC, Md Salauddin Khan.

16 members of MSHC for three years term were earlier elected on Aug 7 .

The first meeting of the committee today was attended amongst others by Agriculture Minister Md Abdul Nasir, MP (Rajya Sabha) Abdul Salam and MLA Fajur Rahim.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Md Amin Shah said that 335 individuals were selected for Haj pilgrimage this year.

The pilgrims will start their onward journey to Mecca from August 20 .

He further appealed to all concerned not to cause disturbance to the movement of the Haj pilgrims and those who are dropping them.

At the same time, Amin Shah also urged the pilgrims to offer their prayers to Allah for the maintenance of Manipur's territorial integrity and the success of the ILPS movement.
