Bpr/Thb, August 07 2022: Moirang Kendra Progressive Front on Saturday organised the 4th Ibudhou Uri Meritorious Students Award distribution programme for students of Moirang AC who secured good marks in this year's Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM & COHSEM at INA Memorial Hall in Moirang.

It was attended by Moirang AC MLA Th Shanti Singh; retired Principal Moirang College, A Sharatchandra Sharma; retired scientist ICAR Shillong, Th Gourabidhu Singh and president Moirang Kendra Progressive Front, L Goal Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Th Shanti stressed on the importance of education for the development and progress of any society.

He continued that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh has initiated various missions including the "War on Drugs" to curb the menace of drugs and "Go to School" to boost education sector in the State.

Elaborating on the need to guide the students towards a better path, the MLA urged all the parents and guardians to supervise and guide their children.

The MLA further wished the students success in their future endeavours.

A total of 101 students were presented mementos, dictionaries and cash awards.

Senior Citizen, Top-Chingtha Yairipok also organised a felicitation ceremony for students who secured more than 75 percent in the recently declared results of Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM & CBSE at Panchayat Ghar, Top-Chingtha GP today.

It was attended by Tulihal Zilla Parishad member, Kongbam Inaocha Devi; Senior Citizen president, Moirangthem Nodiyachand Singh; and Top-Chingtha GP pradhan, Yumnam Tomba Singh as presidium members.

Altogether, 47 students were felicitated at the event along with Sanabam Yaikhomba Meitei of Top Chingtha who secured 13th position in HSLC Examination 2022.Moreover, Likmabam Radhe Devi Trust Lamding also organised the 24th Meritorious Award distribution programme yesterday at Progressive English School Lamding.

It was attended by Khangabok AC MLA, O Surjakumar; L Radhe Devi Trust chairman, B Nabakishore Sharma; MPSC former member, L Manao and Slopeland Public School Khongjom founder principal, N Babulin Meitei as presidium members.

During the programme, Sanabam Yaikhomba Meitei of Maheiroi Memorial Model Academy Yairipok; Chanam Sanamacha Devi of Khomdon Educational Blooming Institute Charangpat; and Keisham Sangeingamba Meitei of Memorial Model Academy Yairipok were conferred the Radhe Devi Meritorious Award- 2022 for securing 13th, 15th and 16th position in HSLC Examination 2022 .

Top 3 students of Progressive English School Lamding who secured good marks in this year's Class X examination were also presented the Y Bokul-Angang Pemma Maheiroi Mana.

Similarly, Akoijam Bhubon Family Ningshing Mana (ABFANIM) Organising Committee also organised a felicitation ceremony to honour meritorious students of Thoubal Municipal Council (TMC) who secured good marks in this years' Class X examination at Sai Mandir, Thoubal Wangmataba.

Retired head master, L Ibochou Singh; retired ZEO, Zone-III Thoubal, Ak Norendra Singh and retired head master, H Gambhir Singh as presidium members.

Th Abhinash of Peace & Freedom Academy, Circa Waikhom & Jayarani Sanasam of Brilliant Academy, Olivia Nongthombam of EGF School and Olivia Kangabam of Sofia English School were felicitated at the event.
