Imphal, April 13 2010:
The Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) has greeted the people of Manipur on the raising day anniversary of the Kangleipak Communist Party.
Through a press statement issued jointly by it's commander-in-chief Lamyanba Khuman and publicity officer Wasington Meitei, the outfit paid homage to all the comrades who have laid down their lives in the course of the 'liberation movement' .
KCP, established in 1980, split into multiple factions due to insincerity and incompetence among the leadership of the party.
This weaned away people's confidence in the party, it asserted.
Noting that the level of corruption has reached the zenith whereas the chasm between the rich and the poor is becoming much wider, KCP (MC) claimed that it has fighting against these social ailments, though sometimes misunderstood by the people.
Saying that the party was established for the people, it pledged to work and struggle always keeping the interest of the people in the centre.
Conceding that the strength of the party cannot be consolidated due to splits, the statement of the KCP (MC) said that it would continue seeking assistance from the people for some more time.
However, all activities carried out under former publicity secretary Puranthaba will be ceased from April 15 .
