Imphal, April 13 2010:
Two persons were killed when a bomb exploded and another woman fainted in yet another bomb blast that took place this evening at two different places.
The bomb blast that killed two persons took place at a cattle shed of a house at Sekta Awang Leikai under Lamlai police station in the evening, at about 7 pm while the other took place at Mantripukhri under Heingang police station at about 6.25 pm near the Mico Automobile Dealer and Service Centre.
No human casualty reported in the last.
One of the two victims of the blast at Sekta was identified as Yendrembam Mocha alias Mutung (25) son of late Juge of Sekta Awang Leikai.
He succumbed to his splinter injuries at RIMS Hospital where he was evacuated at about 9 pm.
The identity of the other slain person could not be immediately established.
Police suspected him as activist of an underground group who possessed the bomb.
A 27 year old woman of the locality identified as Leitanthem Romola was fainted on hearing the laud sound of.the blast.
She was the wife of L Rajan, who the cattle shed belongs to.
Local reports said that the bomb went off all of a sudden at the neighbourhood of a house where local people are gathering after the sharda ceremony of a deceased person.
When the villagers rushed at the place where the laud sound heard, one person was found dead in a pool of blood while another with severe injuries nearby.
Romola who look at the scene from the window of her house fainted on the ground.
Some parts of the front side of the house were also damaged by the impact of the blast.
Meanwhile, another bomb blasted at Mantripukhri near the Mico Automobile Sercive centre on the western side of the NH-39 .
The bomb apparently hurled by unknown person caused no casualty to human.
Interesting, many rang up newspaper offices to confirmed on the remours that explosion took place at CM Bungalow.
