Outreach programme on '9 years of Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan' conducted

Senapati, March 04 2024: An integrated communication and outreach programme (ICOP) on '9 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan' cum Photo Exhibition was held at Avant Garde Academy, Senapati today.

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office (FO), Senapati under the aegis of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

The event was graced by Adahrii Maheo, MCS, CEO, ADC, Senapati as the chief guest, Thangkhochon Haokip, MPS, Additional SP (Law & Order), Senapati as the guest of honour and Daiho Albert, President, Avant Garde Academy as the functional president.

Dr Jacob Pao, SMO, Nodal Officer (ART), District Hospital, Senapati and Dr M Loli Mao, District Malaria Officer, Senapati were also present in today's programme while Kapesa, Vice-Principal, New Life Higher Secondary School attended as the resource person.

Delivering the keynote address, Angthoi Sankhil George, FPO in-charge, CBC, Senapati stated that the department has been organising outreach programmes at different institutions and villages to raise awareness about the various schemes taken up by the Government for the welfare of the people.

Emphasizing that the young students are the pillars of the Nation, Angthoi Sankhil George stressed on the need to give importance to the youths and to reach out to the unreached sections of the society.

Speaking as the resource person, Kapesa stated that Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan define the journey of nine years of Government led by Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.

During these nine years, the underprivileged have been uplifted from the clutches of poverty and they have emerged as key drivers of economic growth.

The past nine years have unveiled the latent potential of India and brought the 'Nation-First' motto to the core of governance, he said.

Stating that numerous structural changes have taken place across every sector, he informed that the last nine years have seen India ascend and secure its spot as one of the most powerful and resilient countries on the global stage.

The dignitaries, while speaking at the occasion, encouraged the students to focus on their studies and work hard for their overall development so that they become responsible and respectable citizens in future.
