Joint meeting calls for unity among Lup

Imphal, July 03 2023: A joint meeting of different Meira Paibi organisations from Singjamei to Lilong areas held on Sunday called for unity among different CSOs and Meira Pail The meeting was Asem Lup at Kakwa community hall resolved to form an apex body of Meira Paibi along the stretch from Singjamei to Lilong, appeal to all CSOs and Meira Paibi groups to unite, withdrawal of Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement, and oppose deployment of central security forces along the said stretch.

Interacting with the media after the meeting, Kakwa Asem Leikai Meira Paibi Lup general secretary Laishram Memcha urged all stakeholders to find a way to restore peace and normalcy in the state and appealed to all CSOs and Meira Paibi groups to unite and face the situation under a common strategy.

She also expressed concern over the difference of opinion among women vendors of Khwairamband Keithel and appealed to them to sort out the problem internally instead of bringing out the dispute in public domain.
