Imphal, November 16 2023: A large number of students gathered in front of Manipur University Vice Chancellor's Office gate today demanding "restoration of lost academic calendar in MU" .

Highlighting some of their grievances, one Alvin Nongmaithem shared that the admission process of students selected to study in MA and MSc courses in the University has still not been completed.

He also pointed out that the University has not yet declared the results of MA and MSc exam, some post graduate entrance tests and the selection list for both CUET and MUET.

In addition, he stated that while other universities have started their classes a long time back without any disturbance, Manipur University is yet to begin its academic session at a time when the semester examination is reportedly to be conducted in December.

Further due to this disturbance in the academic calendar, some of the BA and BSc semester exam results also remain undeclared, he added.

The protesting students raised various slogans such as "Restore the lost academic calendar in MU", "Save students' future", "Complete academic process for 1st and 3rd semester", "Enforce UGC Reservation Policy in MU", "We condemn disturbance of academic calendar in MU" among others.
