KMAC shine in 32nd State Archery Championships

Imphal, February 19 2023:
KMAC bagged 5 medals in the Indian Round individual competitions as the 32nd Senior Men and Women State Archery Championships, 2023 kicked off today at SAI NERC-Takyel.
KMAC's Moirangthem Baby beat compatriot Laiphrakpam Rojina 6-2 for the women's individual Indian Round competition title as Millennia Thokchom of the same unit finished third with 7 points.
In the men's individual Indian Round final, Thongam Heller of BCAC beat M Bikash of AAC 6-4 to earn the top honour as M Chingkhei of FAC finished third on 6 points.
NSA won the mixed team Indian Round title as RK Wangthoisana and K Sandya Devi amassed 6 points.
ARAC's pair of P Heroba and Longjam Tomthinnganbi collected 2 to finish second in the same event as BCAC's Thongam Heller and Khundrakpam Malemnganbi settled for third place with 6 points.
In the women's Indian Round team competition, Laiphrakpam Rojina Devi, Moirangthem Baby Devi and Millennia beat ARAC's Longjam Tomthinnganbi, L Sophiya and Dipika Patir 6-0 to finish first as NSA's team of K Sandya, S Melody, Suprina Thokchom and R Ritika Devi finished third.
In the men's team event, KMAC's team of Ch Bison, H Bijendranath, Ch Nelson and O Inaocha beat LMLCC's Y Bishan, S Jenibash, L Bobby and H Bicky 24-23 in shoot-off after the score remained leveled at 4-4 .
FAC's team of M Chingkhei, L Naoton, M Sunder and N Bikash finished third in this competition.
The championships will run till 21 of this month.
