Raj Bhavan bids adieu to La Ganesan

Imphal, February 19 2023:
Officers and staff of Raj Bhavan bid farewell to Governor-designate of Nagaland and outgoing Governor of Manipur La Ganesan on Sunday.
During the sending-off ceremony held at Raj Bhavan here, La Ganesan met all the officers and staff of his secretariat and thanked them for their support and coop eration.
The Governor also inspected a Guard of Honour presented by personnel of Manipur Rifles and India Reserve Battalion.
Chief Minister N Biren and PHE minister L Susindro Meitei also joined the ceremony and wished the outgoing Governor a healthy and prosperous life in days to come.
Director General of Police P Doungel and IGAR (South) Major General Rajan Serawat also attended the farewell ceremony.
En route to Kohima, Ganesan stopped at Saitu Gamphajol sub-divisional headquarters in Kangpokpi district where he was greeted by Kangpokpi deputy commissioner Kengoo Zuringla, superintendent of police Th Vikramjit Singh and other District Level officers and staff.
Later, he went to Mao police station in Senapati district where he was accorded a warm welcome by Senapati DC Mahesh Hiralal Chaudhari and SP Karthik Malladi.
It may be mentioned that La Ganesan served as the Governor of Manipur since August 27, 2021 and also acted additionally as Governor of West Bengal from July 18 to November 17, 2022 .
Recently, he was appointed as Governor of Nagaland, while Anusuiya Uikey was appointed as the new Governor of Manipur
on February 12 .
