Aid extended to Kharasom village

Imphal, February 19 2023:
Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) assisted Kharasom village with water supply on Sunday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Kharasom village was facing acute water shortage due to some major faults in water supply line for last 3-4 days.
Loktak Battalion supplied water through water bowser inspite of difficulty in fetching water from river.
Villagers showed extreme gratitude towards the Battalion for supplying water in the time of extreme requirement.
Meanwhile, Somsai Battalion of IGAR (South) also assisted Kharasom CV village by providing water as the village was facing acute water shortage.
The village authorities and youth of the village requested the Kharasom post of Assam Rifles for assistance as the entire village was facing acute shortage of water.
The Assam Rifles post immediately swung into action and provided approximately 4,000 litres of water to entire village.
The villagers appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for providing water supply during extreme requirement and proving once again as true friends of North East people, the PRO added.
