12th Jiri Cup ARC set up summit clash with KLASA

ARC, Shillong edged out HISU, Thoubal 6-4 via a tie break in the 2nd semi-final match of the ongoing 12th Jiri Cup Invitation Football Tournament 2017-18 to meet KLASA, Keinou in the final on February 16.
The tournament is being organised at Jiribam Higher Secondary playground under the aegis of All Jiribam Sports Association.
HISU, Thoubal enjoyed the major portion of the match with a 2-0 lead but ARC, Shillong staged a strong comeback in the latter portion to finished the game 2-2 draw at full time.
Th Johnychandra of HISU, Thoubal struck the opener in the 14th minute and put his team ahead with a 1-0 lead.
ARC Shillong also tried to return into the game but could not produced an impressive run to concede the first half 0-1 .
HISU also continued their offensive raids after the restart and their efforts were paid off in the form of another goal in the 63rd minute through Priyo.
Stung by the 2 goal lead, ARC Shillong started to throw more men in the opponents' half and began to press HISU with crisp passing and better understanding in the mid field.
They were consistently trying to breach defence line of the Thoubal side and it was Giransana of ARC who succeeded in finding the gap and fired in the first goal for his team in the 76th minute.
Within the gap of two minutes, Lalnuntluanga found the another goal and equalised the score.
With the score locked at 2-2, both teams were relentlessly trying to take lead but failed to made any change as defence lines of both teams thwarted all possible entries in right time to go for the tie break.
