Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed warm wishes to the people of Manipur, specially the Naga brethren, on the happy and auspicious occasion of Lui Ngai Ni festival.
The Governor stated that Lui Ngai Ni is a festival of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and in which people seek the blessings of the Almighty for a prosperous life.
She mentioned that apart from the deeply rooted traditional and customary practices associated with the festival, it has now gained popularity among all the communities, who come together rising above their differences, to join in the festivities.
She wished for the festival to signify peace, harmony and humanism for all.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has also greeted the people of the State, specially the Naga brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Lui Ngai Ni festival.
He said that the seed sowing festival is one of the biggest festivals of the Nagas and the festival not only elevates the social ethics and inspires a sense of unity among the Nagas, but also spreads a message of friendship and oneness among the various communities of the State.
He also prayed for the festival to bring peace, love and unity among the people of the State.
Manipur Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand, also wished the people of the State, specially the Naga brethren, on the joyous occasion of Lui Ngai Ni.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh, extended best wishes to the people of Manipur, specially the Naga people, on the joyous occasion of Lui Ngai Ni.
Works Minister Th Biswajit also wished the people of the State, especially the Naga brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Lui Ngai Ni festival.
On the other hand, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president TN Haokip, former MPCC president and former Dy CM, Gaikhangam also conveyed warm wishes to the people of Manipur, specially the Naga people, on the auspicious occasion of Lui Ngai Ni.
Major General Virendra Singh, VSM, IGAR (South) and all ranks of Assam Rifles, also extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, specially the Naga brethren, on the joyous occasion of Lui Ngai Ni festival.
