Civil bodies felicitate Mount Zion SS School

Acknowledging the rare and first feat of winning the North East CBSE schools championship recently by Mount Zion Senior Secondary School, Senapati, the Naga People's Organization (NPO), Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) and Senapati District Olympic Association, Manipur (SDOAM) felicitated the triumphant
football team today.
In a felicitation programme today, the three apex bodies acknowledged the glory of the local CBSE school which will also participate in the National level by November first week.
The team comprising of students from Mount Zion SS School, Kathikho Karong Senapati won the final at Guwahati recently.
SDSA executive Newman Poulah lauded the team and encouraged them to play better and stronger in their National matches to qualify for international games.
NPO president T Moses Kamba in his speech congratulated the football team which won the prestigious trophy for North East region and first ever from Manipur CBSE schools till date.
He called upon the upcoming sportspersons to explore their talents on such platforms and scale more heights for benefit of the school and also the district.
The NPO president also appealed to the State Government, Youth and Sports Affairs Department and district administration to contribute through financial support for the team which will represent the entire North East in the National level to be played at Mumbai.
SDOAM president T Robert Maram lauded the winning team and the school for such a rare achievement bringing good name to the district and Manipur.
While calling the attention of the authorities concerned to provide funds to promote such promising students, the body also encouraged more youth and students to positively manage sports and education.
