15 ambassadors of SEA to attend Sangai Fest: CS

Manipur Chief Secretary O Nabakishore on Tuesday said that 15 ambassadors from South East Asia (SEA) will attend the Sangai Festival which will be held from November 21 to 30 at Hatta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound.
During a press meet held at Old Secretariat Conference, Babupara, Nabakishore said like last year, International flight, Golden Myanmar Flight will land in Imphal airport on November 21.On the same day, Golden Myanmar Flight will leave Imphal for Mandalay with 75 passengers.
The same flight will land in Imphal on November 26 to pick up Myanmarese delegation and other foreign tourists who are to participate in the Sangai Festival, said the Chief Secretary.

Imphal Airport has already become an international airport but no other commercial international flights have landed so far, said Nabakishore while praising KB Enterprises for its successful effort on making Imphal airport known to the world as an international airport.
Invitations have been sent to around 15 ambassadors of South East Asia and Indian ambassadors who are posted in other countries to attend the Sangai Festival.
The festival will showcase various ethnic products of indigenous communities of Manipur and cultural events will also be another attraction.
The aim of holding the festival is to promote culture, heritage and tourism, said Nabakishore.
He also added that the construction of Sanjenthong Bridge is almost complete and the same will be opened soon.
