Bikash Singh shines as CYCLONE open Group campaign with 84-run victory against WYC
Bikash hit a century and grabbed four wickets as CYCLONE, Thangmeiband started their 6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament Group B campaign with a comprehensive 84 run victory against WYC, Wangkhem.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, CYCLONE piled up 237 for 6 in 40 overs before bundling WYC out for 153 runs within 34 overs as Bikash Singh.
CYCLONE had a stuttering start and were held to 60/4 within 10.3 overs but Longjam Ronald added spark to the innings by hitting a half century (52 off 84 balls) before Bikash Singh produced a valiant batting performance to blaze off 114 off 91 balls finding 13 boundaries (4 fours and 9 sixes) and took the total past the 200-run mark.

Tayenjam Tomba Singh of WYC managed 3 wickets for 45 runs in this innings which also saw Paul Zomi of CYCLONE adding 23 runs.
WYC's Wangkhem Laksmon and Huirongbam Biteshwor Singh also claimed a wicket each.
In the chase, WYC faced a stiff resistance from the beginning and were reduced to 50 for 2 within 12.5 overs with Samsung Meitei removing Sherokumar Singh for 12 before Bikash Singh claimed three of his four wickets by bowling out Wangkhem Shamungou (22), Thokchom Momocha (7) and Priyobarta Moirangthem (8) .
Huirongbam Roshan was the highest run getter for the team with an unbeaten 31 runs in his name before Longjam Ronald snared two wickets and Bikash completed his four wicket haul removing T Rohit Singh (10) .
Bikash Singh who shone with both the bat and the ball was adjudged man of the match.
PTRC, Patsoi will play REYS, Nagamapal tomorrow in the next match tomorrow at the same venue.
