Fallen poles, trees block Tadubi-Tolloi road

Senapati, April 24 2022: The road stretch of NH-102A from Tadubi to Ukhrul via Tolloi has been completely blocked by fallen electric poles and trees in between Liyai Khunou and Vaisiichu under Senapati district due to strong wind.

Around five electric poles of high tension (voltage) line as well as some trees were reportedly uprooted by strong wind, thereby posing a serious threat to people passing by.

The incident occurred early morning on Sunday.

People from the area informed that vehicles were able to pass the area till late hours on Saturday evening but they found the fallen electric poles and trees on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Laii Circle Union (LCU) has appealed to the department concerned to look into the matter immediately as keeping the electric poles and trees there have been affecting normal traffic.

Power supply to Laii circle area has also remained cut off following the incident.

Luckily, no report of hu man casualties and damages have been reported till the time of filing this report.
