Imphal, April 24 2022:
Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has denied the statement made by All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) alleging that there is no student body by the name of Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) in Tengnoupal.
A press release issued by Mutum Nongdamba, Assistant Publicity Secretary of MSF, stated that holding a face-to-face discussion would be more appropriate as compared to issuing statements through the media.
The statement also asserted that there is no requirement for AMSU to comment on the establishment of MSF's branch or unit committees in various districts of the State.
The statement added that MSF was formed in the interest of the people of Manipur and the student body welcomes everyone irrespective of class, religion or ethnicity.
As a student organisation, MSF will cooperate and work along side other organisations, the statement added.
In a separate statement, MSF Kakching District Committee has announced the appointment of new office bearers for 2021-22 today.
As per a statement, Loitongbam Arunkumar Singh has been appointed as the president; Shougaijam Michael Singh and Khumanthem Minakumari Devi as the vice-president and Leitanthem Michael Singh as the general secretary, among others.
It is worth noting that altogether 20 new office bearers were appointed.
The day's event was also attended by Sundar Khuman, organisation secretary of MSF H/O and Loitongbam Bikiraj, assistant finance secretary.
