Imphal, May 09 2013:
The post seed sowing festival of the Kharam tribe, Mukada would be celebrated with jubilation in Kharam inhabited villages across the State on May 12 and 13 .
According to a statement issued by the Kharam Tribe Union, the first day of the festival would be held with rituals to mark the completion of seed sowing.
Saratha Koi, an occasion where married daughters and sisters are invited for a grand meal, would mark the second day of the festival.
Gifts would be presented to daughters and sisters with a blessing on the occasion, it said.
At the same time, the Kharam Tribe Union has appealed all concerned not to call bandh or strike on the days.
