All India Tanzeem-E-Insaaf, (AITI) Manipur State Council organized Unity Day of India at Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Buyaslam Community Hall, yesterday.
The function was organized all over India as mark of respect to the two martyrs, Pandit Ram Prasad Vishmil and Sahid Asfak Ula Khan, who were hanged to death on December 19 in 1927 for their involvement in the freedom movement against the mighty British rule, stated Md Isloudin, Secretary AITI Manipur in a press release today.
The function was attended by Badarudin, President AITI Manipur, Md Alaodin, Ex Minister, Md Nasir Ahmed, DSP Excise, Md Asad Ali, EO Rural Development, Md Dilu Khan, Demonstrator Lipun, Moulana Ruhul Amin, Councilor Thongkhong Laxmi Bazar, Moulana Jeinul Abudin, Councilor Lilong Municipal as presidium members.
Associate Professor, Md Alaodin of Kakching Khunou College, who attended as resource person, spoke elaborately on the sacrifices made by the two freedom fighters.
Dr.Badarudin, President AITI Manipur, in his Presidential speech appealed to the people to shun communal violence and together fight for peaceful co-existence and national unity.
