Two-day refresher training prog for paralegals begins

Imphal, December 20 2014:
The Committee for Legal Aid to Poor (CLAP) in association with Manipur State Legal Service Authority (MSLSA) and New Life foundation, Moirang kick started a two-day refresher training programme for paralegal volunteers today at H igh Court complex here.
The refresher training programme has been organised under the aegis of Justice Department, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
The opening function was attended by Kh Nobin, Judge, High Court of Manipur as chief guest, MSLSA member secretary Brajachand as functional president and CLAP programme manager Bhabana Nayak as guest of honour.
New Life Foundation, Moirang general secretary, L Pishak also attended the opening ceremony of the two-day refresher training programme as moderator.
The training programme is being participated by paralegal volunteers from all over the State.
A group discussion session was also held today headed by CLAP members Advocate Momon and L Pishak.
Advocate Huidrom Kenajit and Okram Kiranjit elaborated on topics like case study, analysis and problem solving during the discussion session.
Rakesh Meihoubam, executive director, Human Rights Law Network , K Guneshor Sharma, Session Judge, Imphal East and Binobala Nongmeikappam, Child welfare officer, Department of Social welfare will attend as resource persons in tomorrow's training session.
