State Jeet Kundo players hailed

Imphal, December 20 2014 :
The Jeet Kundo Association of Manipur hailed the players who had represented the country in the recently concluded 1st South Asian Martial Arts Festival at Kathmandu in Nepal from December 11 to 13 .
Among a total of 5 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals bagged by the Indian team that secured overall 2nd position, the state players were able to clinch 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in this Games.
The host country, Nepal won the top-spot winning 10 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals with Italy taking the 3rd place, a release said.
In these Games, Laishram Gitanjali Devi (60-65kg) and Thaobi Veena (65-70kg) won the two gold medals of the country where as L Radhabinod Singh (70-75kg) took a silver medal in this competition.
Furter, Lohri Mao (35-40kg), Sochim Raiku (50-55 kg) and Dangalou Alexson (50-55kg) won these bronze medals, added the release.
