CEO sends missive to ECI for ensuring voting rights to UGs

All the UGs belonging to different groups who are now under suspension of operation with the Government are also likely to exercise their voting rights through postal ballot papers in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
In this regard, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manipur has sent a formal proposal to the Election Commission of India (ECI), informed O Nabakishore, CEO, Manipur on Wednesday.
He also announced that steps have been taken to allow all the Service Voters, who are currently posted in different places, to cast their votes through postal ballot papers.
All the ballot papers for the Service Voters will be dispatched by post and the same will be sent back by them after casting their votes to the candidates of their choice, Nabakishore said.
