Bandh affects Jiribam; two die in accident

Jiribam, October 15 2015 :
The 18-hour State wide bandh called by CorCom affected normal life in Imhal East's Jiribam subdivision on Thursday.
Both Government and private offices, schools, colleges, banks, oil pumps, markets, shops were closed and all passenger buses were suspended for the day due to the strike.
No untoward incidents were reported during the general strike.
Meanwhile, two youths were killed when a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle on which they were travelling rammed into a tree at Dibong along the Jiri-Tipaimukh road at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Ayekpam Tiken (23) of Champanagar Maning Leikai in Jiribam and S Iboyaima (40) of Bishnupur Ward No-11 in JIribam.
The bodies have been handed to the families after post-mortem.
