Sentence for 10 years

Imphal, June 26 2013:
A man involved in drug smuggling has been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment besides a fine of Rs 1 lakh imposed on him.
According to a pronouncement made by the Special Court of NDPS, Lalu Shah (32) s/o (L) Ram Shah of Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh has been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
Besides, the Court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
Lalu Shah was arrested along with 1,040 tablets of contraband Amphetamine at Pallel by a team of Custom Preventive forces
on November 19, 2011 .
A trial was conducted by the NPDS, said Public Prosecutor, NDPS, N Brojendro.
