MLA Meghachandra pleas for proper coverage of House session

Imphal, June 26 2013:
MLA K Meghachandra, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary in charge of Information and Public Relations, has appealed to the media houses of the State to give proper coverage on the ongoing Assembly Session.
Addressing media persons in this regard in his Secretariat office here today, Meghachandra said that the role of media persons in disseminating news and information to the masses is immense.
So, media persons should take down notes on the statements given by Ministers and MLAs on the floor of the House and make the public aware of the happenings inside the State Assembly.
This will beautify the Parliamentary democracy in the State.
He also pointed out that the problems faced by media persons of the State while performing their duties will be discussed in detail by the State Government.
The State Government will also see as to what can be done with regard to the present rate of advertisement.
The lack of staffs and other infrastructures in the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) will also be looked into, he assured.
Director of DIPR Rajen was also present during the press conference.
