The Joint Action Committee constituted against the killing of KH Maring alias Heitlhungshel Khaling of Nungourok village has decided to go ahead with the proposed 24-hour bandh on Imphal-Moreh section of NH-102 from 5 am tomorrow.
Informing the media persons, Tm Holkhokhai Haokip, Chairman of the JAC said that it will go ahead with the proposed bandh in protest against the killing of the innocent civilian in cold blood and the failure of the Government in fulfilling the demands of the JAC.
The demands of the JAC include arrest of the culprits, who were involved in the crime on or before the midnight of June 29 and an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the family of the deceased, said the JAC Chairman.
