Social service conducted at Manipur Press Club

All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) in collaboration with Kanglei Economic Development Organization (KEDO) conducted a social service in and around Manipur Press Club here today.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the event, Wangkhemcha Shyamjai, president of AMWJU said that the social service was conducted to maintain cleanliness in and around Manipur Press Club which is becoming an important place for people.
He stated that AMWJU is planning to conduct social service at the Club twice or thrice in a month and informed that a gym has been already opened in the Club for journalists and their family members.
Lauding volunteers of KEDO for extending help, Shyamjai further informed that AMWJU will also be planting trees in and around the Club as well.
Kh Devajit, team leader of KEDO, said that the goal of the organization is work for identity and has been taking part in social service camps conducted at different parts of the city.
He also informed that KEDO has been organizing awareness programme on every Sunday with the objective to ameliorate work culture in the State.
