KCKL donates
Kanglei Chanu Kanba Lup (KCKL), Hatta Minuthong Road, Imphal East distributed blankets and stationery items to aged people and children at TYWO, Takhel today, according to a statement issued by the president, KCKL.
KCKL further said that the organization will continue to work for the cause of the poor and needy people.
Journal released
Young Women Help Organisation (YWHO), Konung Mamang, Imphal East today released its December issue of the monthly journal "Nupigi Punshi" at a simple function attended by Thokchom Manihar Singh, Inspector OC Lamshang police station and its members, according to a statement issued by the president of YWHO.
Shopping complex inaugurated
The newly constructed "Golden Shopping Complex" at Nambol was inaugurated today.
The inaugural function was graced by Nambol AC MLA N Loken Singh, Nambol Municipal Council Chairperson H Somarendra Singh, Nambol Municipal Council Vice-Chairperson Kh Sharatchandra Singh, Nambol SDO Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Retd Professor of DM College Dr Kh Shamungou Singh, Retd Lecturer of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya L Phunindro and Nambol police station OC O Iboton Singh as presidium members.
AR canteen entrusted
The canteen of 24 Assam Rifles located at Khudengthabi check-post has been entrusted to the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association by 24 Assam Rifles CO Dinesh Chufal, reports our correspondent.
The CO said that the step has been taken up in order to provide a source of income to the ex-servicemen.
Henkhojang Haokip, assistant secretary, Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association also extended gratitude to the CO for initiating such a noble gesture.
Free coaching
The Kuki Students' Organisation, Chandel will be organising a free coaching for students appearing in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination 2016, reports our correspondent.
The coaching classes will commence from December 17 at Standard High School, Sugnu Tribal, Zion Primary School and Khengjoy Primary School.
