Tamenglong, May 21 2014 :
The proposed closure of National Highway 37 (Imphal - Jiribam road) for repairing works, which was earlier slated from 22nd to 24th May, has been postponed till 26 May to enable the moving convoys from Jiribam to reach Imphal safely.
According to C Arthur W, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, the said road will be closed from 26 to 28 May, as the repairing of the 140ft TSRBB (Irang Bridge) at Taobam (Irang) village will be done by the BRTF from 26 May to 28 May.
He added the moving convoys, which are carrying local goods, need to reach Imphal at the earliest as possible.
