First baby born in Moreh PHC

For the first time in the history of the Primary Health Centre at Moreh, a boy child was successfully delivered.
One Chinneikim, wife of O Bashan Meitei of T Yangnom village under Moreh block went for her regular check medical check up to the health centre today.
But she started experiencing labour pain, arrangements were made immediately by M/O-in charge of the PHC Dr.S.Priyokumar Singh and the child was delivered successfully under the supervision of Dr Kh Santikumar at around 11.30 am today.
The baby weighed 4.5 kg at the time its birth.
Due to lack of adequate staffs and equipments, no delivery cases have been ever done in the PHC earlier.
Meanwhile, at the advice of Dr Saroda Devi of Moreh Veterinary Department, a mass anti-Rabies vaccination drive has been successfully conducted in various villages under the jurisdiction of Kuki Chiefs' Association, Moreh Block from May 15 to 21 .
Villages covered in the drive included N.Gamnom, L.Phunchong, M.Shimoul, S.Moljol, etc.
