Imphal, April 17 2015 :
Families of the Involuntarily Disappeared's Association, Manipur (FIDAM) has said that the association has taken serious note of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi's disclosure that Union Ministry of Home Affairs had turned town State Government's proposal for letting CBI to investigate discovery of human skulls and skeletons from the complex of erstwhile Tombisana High School.
In a press statement, FIDAM questioned why the Chief Minister disclosed the Home Ministry's refusal yesterday only after he remained silent on the matter for the past 3-4 months.
The statement also questioned why the State Government has sidelined the demand of instituting a special investigation team to look into the matter.
The State Government might have succeeded in suppressing other important issues in the past, FIDAM would however put in all possible effort to get justice for the involuntarily disappeared persons.
