Road works to be completed by 2015

Imphal, April 17 2015 :
Bishnupur- Nungba Road could be completed by 2015 if adequate funds are available, said Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar during his visit to survey the Khaupum road condition.
He and his team made a survey of the Bishnupur- Khaupum road which connects Nungba as currently construction work of the road commenced under the North East Council (NEC).
The Minister claims that almost 70% of road works which includes earth moving (hill cuttings) and repairing has been completed for 70 kilometers long Zoujangtek-Rengpang road.
M/s Keystone Infra Private Limited officials said that the work might be completed in 2016 if adequate funds are sanctioned in time as target set is for 2017.He also claimed that the road works of Bishnupur connecting Tupul road was suspended due to disagreement about compensation.
Additional Chief Secretary, O Nabakishore and PWD officials were also a part of the survey team.
