Imphal, July 07 2013:
Imphal-Jiribam highway which remained disconnected for the last couple of days following landslide near Nung Dolan has been re-opened to vehicular traffic at about 3.30 pm today after the heavy boulders were blown apart using explosives and a by-pass road constructed by BRTF and ABCI.
Subsequently, stranded vehicles have crossed the area and are on their way to Imphal.
Meanwhile, TDC president H Ranjit has lauded BRTF and ABCI for repairing the highway promptly and enabling stranded vehicles move ahead.
