Speaking at the occasion, Lokeshwar said the bridge is a dream project of the villagers.
Though suspension bridges have become outdated, the State had to opt for the same owing to financial constraints to build an RCC bridge.
The newly inaugurated bridge would provide better connectivity between Lamboikhul and Tiger Camp, he added.
He expressed his gratitude to the villagers of Lamboikhul and Tiger Camp for providing help and support in the construction work of the bridge.
Lokeshwar also assured that the RCC bridge located at Taret Khul would be upgraded to a double lane bridge shortly.
Other bridges located at Khundrakpam A/C would be upgraded under Government schemes like PMGSY shortly, he stated.
Road expansion work for construction of six lane road has been carried out in connection with the upcoming 100 bedded District Hospital at Sagolmang.
By 2015-16 the road expansion work would be completed, Lokeshwar informed.
"To bring development we need education and to bring education in rural areas there must be connectivity," Lokeshwor stated.
Defining good transport and communication facilities as the key ingredients of development, Lokeshwar urged CSOs to extend their support in taking up developmental works.
Meanwhile, a local from Lamboikhul has expressed that the area has seen a sea change under the leadership of the local MLA Th Lokeshwor.
He has also urged the locals to support the MLA's endeavour.
