Imphal, December 07 2021:
All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union paid surprise visit at Bishnulal Government High School, Charhajare today.
The team was very much surprised to know that a good number of students have been enrolled in IX and X standards with 76 and 75 students respectively in this current academic year.
Due to the present government SOPs the students have been divided into two sections each.
When the Union team reached the school students of two sections were out of the class, when the team enquired about the students loitering outside their classes, the Headmaster of the school explained only two teachers were posted in the school for secondary section.
This clearly showed that the Education Department has completely neglected Government schools in hill areas.
The student body alleged that the Education department is working only on the paper but the reality is quite different from the actual paper work of the Department.
There are many other Schools in Hill areas where adequate numbers of teachers have not been posted.
Government teachers must also work considering the future of students where they are posted.
AMGSU further informed that along with the other student organizations, it will continue to visit other government institutions specifically in the hills area for the welfare of the students of the Government institutions.
AMGSU along with other student bodies will launch democratic form of agitation if the authorities concerned fail to send adequate number of subject wise teachers at Bishnulal Government High School within five days.
