NSU signs MoU with Russian Olympic university

With the main objective of promoting and strengthening sports education in India, the National Sports University (NSU) and Russian International Olympic University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by NSU Manipur registrar, Russia Federation president Vladimir Putin arrived at New Delhi on Tuesday to take part in the 21st India-Russia summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As part of Putin's visit, NSU and Russian International Olympic University signed an MoU.
While NSU was established by the Union ministry of youth affairs and sports under the keen initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018 to develop and strengthen sports education in the country, Russian International Olympic University was established in 2009 as a dedicated university in sports business education and it is first such universities of the world.
The main objective of the MoU is to share academics and research works in sports education to promote and strengthen the field.
Under the MoU, students of the two nations will have exchange programmes in academics and give short term courses apart from enabling to attend seminars, conference, special educational projects and open lectures.
Both the countries will also help each other in designing course and curriculum.
