Despite the tall claims made by the government, reports of authority denying benefits under CMHT scheme are coming in, said Sugnu MLA Kangujam Ranjit.
While inaugurating a community hall constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh from the MLA local area development fund at Khogyam in Sugnu assembly constituency on Monday, Ranjit said that a patient from Sugnu, who was earlier admitted at JN Hospital, is undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity after undergoing surgery on the head.
According to the patient's family, they have not received any benefits or assistance under CMHT scheme though they possess CMHT card issued by the government.
Another person from Wangoo Lamkhai was also denied benefits under CMHT for his treatment at Shija Hospitals some six months back, he said.
The opposition MLA slammed the government while accusing it of misleading the public by advertising its schemes with false claims.
He appealed to the public not to get fooled by the propaganda of the BJP government.
