TPR drops to 1.2 pc

Today's positivity rate (TPR) has dropped to 1.2 per cent from yesterday's 2.6 per cent and there is no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours which means that the death toll remains unchanged at 1985 .
According to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 17 were confirmed as Covid-19 positive at RIMS (3), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (11) out of 1,474 samples tested during the last 24 hours.
The 17 persons who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (5), Imphal West (8), Bishnupur (2) and Chandel (2) .
Chandel recorded the highest daily positivity rate of 4.7 per cent followed by Imphal West 1.8 per cent, Bishnupur 1.5 per cent and Imphal East 1.5 per cent.
In the meantime, 28 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours following recovery from home isolation (10), JNIMS (4) and CCCs (14) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases has reached 1,25,406 (general population 1,20,973 and Central security personnel 4,433).It includes 330 active cases (general population 322 and Central security personnel 8) and 1,23,091 recovered cases (general population 1,18,671 and Central security personnel 4,420) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, a total of 530 D-type oxygen cylinders and 260 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 22,01,399 (first dose 12,92,766 and second dose 9,08,633) .
It includes 5455 doses administered yesterday.
Till December 6, 65.67 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while 46.16 per cent has received both the first and second doses.
