Bishnupur, December 07 2021:
Three CM's Health for All (CMHA) centres of Bishnupur district namely, Leimaram, Irengbam and Toubul were opened by State Health Society, Manipur mission director Dr N Shyamjai at Leimaram on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr N Shyamjai advised ASHA workers of the newly opened centres that if they come across anyone who has not received the Covid-19 vaccine during their home-to-home health check-up assignment, then they should inform the health authorities, so that such individuals could be vaccinated.
The various medical equipment that have been distributed in all the districts, including equipment for women related diseases, should be utilised properly, he added.
Dr Shyamjai further appealed all to get vaccinated so as to ensure that no new wave of the pandemic hits the state.
Vaccination is the only solution presently against the new variant of the Covid-19 named Omicron, he stressed.
On the other hand, CMO Bishnupur Dr L Raichandra, who was also present at the programme, urged the director to appoint a medicine specialist for District Hospital Bishnupur as patients of the district are suffering from lack of a specialist doctor.
He also pointed out that out of the 43 PHSCs, PHCs and CHCs present in the district, most of them have been upgraded to Health and Wellness Centre except for four as these do not have their own building.
During the programme, medical equipment required by ASHA workers when visiting home for medical check-up were also distributed.
The programme was also attended by Health SNO, CMHA/NCD deputy director Dr Y Premchandra Singh and Irengbam Gram Panchayat member M Sharat Singh as presidium members.
