The State Government has issued a direction for maintaining traffic regulations and parking lots on the day of Bor Pujah of Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple on October 3, 2022 .
An office memorandum signed by Transport Director Dr Nivedita Lairen- lakpam said that no motor vehicles including cycles, rickshaws etc except vehicles belonging to VIPs, ambulances, fire brigade, security personnel and Magistrates on duty shall be allowed to proceed beyond Phuramakhong and Tarahei Konjil point on Mayang Imphal road, Hiyangthang Kangjeibung from Ningom-bam Mekola Hiyangthang road, Kamakhya Pemton College ground frm Irom Meijrao road and Samurou ground Mayang Imphal side from 2 am of October 2, 2022 till the Bor Pujah is over.
The order said that light motor vehicles/two wheelers/auto-rickshaws/cycle rickshaws coming from Tiddim road and proceeding upto Hiyangthang Kangjei-bung via Nambol, Mekola, Ningombam, Kodompokpi Lamkhai and Malom shall be allowed.
All motor vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side and proceeding upto Imphal shall be diverted towards Haoreibi along Imphal River bank while those coming from Imphal towards Hiyangthang shall be diverted towards Ningombam side from Phuramakhong.
Parking lots
Vehicles coming from Imphal shall be parked at YUC ground, Phuramakhong Nambul Mapal; vehicles coming from Langthabal Canchipur Chajing shall be parked at LP School Madrassa (Tarahei Konjil); vehicles coming from Tiddim Road via Mekola and Ningombam shall be parked at Hiyangthang Kangjeibung ground; vehicles coming from Irom Meijrao and Nambol shall be parked at Samurou ground; vehicles coming from Lilong, Canchipur shall be parked at Takhellambam ground; vehicles coming from Haoreibi/Karam shall be parked at Chandranadi Point while vehicles coming from Lilong Chajing shall be parked at Laikham Chingjin ground.
The parking lots shall be maintained by the designated local clubs/organisations on the day of Bor.
