Jamsenpa ready to scale Mount Everest, again

Anshu Jamsenpa, mountaineer and Everester from Arunachal Pradesh is all set to climb Mount Everest for the third time and towards this she is all set to leave her home State on April 4 and proceed to Kathmandu base which she expects to reach by April 6.After her sojourn at Mount Everest she is expected to be back at the base camp in the last week of May.
Speaking to media persons today at Arunachal House in New Delhi, Jamsenpa said that conquering heights and climbing mountains has taught her a lot on environment and discipline.
Speaking about mountaineering and adventure sports, Jamsenpa said that she has learnt to control her mind and how to move in high altitude even when there is less oxygen.
Talking of the risks involved in such sports, she said a single mistake can lead to a fatal end therefore in such sports one needs to overcome fear, to be prepared, not only physically but also mentally.
More than the physical, the mental capabilities are very important, said Jamsenpa.
The Everester, who is a mother of two, also spoke of the need to promote adventure tourism, which she said will boost the economy of Arunachal Pradesh in particular and the North East in general.
Anshu Jamsenpa, who is in her mid 30s conquered Mount Everest and unfurled the National flag in May 2011 and later in 2013 again.
Jamsenpa has successfully conquered several peaks since she started mountaineering as a career in 2010.She has climbed Mount Nepal Peak, Mount Gorichen, Parvat, Mount Lobuche, Mount Pokhalde and Mount Island Peak.
