AMCTA expresses gratitude to CM

The All Manipur College Teachers Association, in a press release, extended gratitude to the chief minister of Manipur for giving the assurance on its mending demands.
The assurance was given following a mass rally organized by the All Manipur College Teachers' Association today.
It said the Chief Minister agreed to fulfill the demands of this Association as early as possible.
It may be mentioned that the AMCTA has been demanding immediate cancellation of Government orders No.7 (2)/6/2003-HE dated 14/11/2003 and appointment of regular principals to all Government colleges of the state, among others.
The Association also called for the removal of the existing Commissioner P Vaiphei of Higher Education and immediate release of pending allowances entitled to college teachers and equivalent cadres by making correction of ROP orders dated 12/08/2011 as top priority.
The Association reiterated that it will continue its course of action until the demands are met by the Government without any conditions.
