Students feted at Kpi, Wangbal

Kpi/Tbl, June 11 2019: Among many successful students in the recently declared Class X and XII exam, a bright student of St Paul Institute, Churachandpur and a native of Kangpokpi DHQs Mangminlal Khongsai was feted today at his residence.

Mangminlal Khongsai, s/o Jangthang Khongsai and Hatnu Khongsai of Vengthah Ward No 3, scored 93.2% in the Class XII examination 2019 conducted by CBSE and became the highest scorer among many other successful students from the District Headquarters.

Mangminlal Khongsai is an ambitious student who want to pursue further study in Political Science and aspires to become an IAS officer.

His determination and hard work has been the talk of the town inspiring many students.

His father, Jangthang Khongsai, who run a computer shop at Kangpokpi DHQs, is the first among the Kukis who produced visual album and contributed significantly for the welfare of the Kuki society while her mother Hatnu Khongsai is a teacher under SHADC Kangpokpi.

Pastor J Lunkim, KCC graced the felicitation ceremony as Thanksgiving and blessing Minister while the Church executives of KCC, the Ward Committee Chairman, Rev Thingnoi David and Pagin Kipgen, Principal Diamond English High School, Kpi attended as special guests.

Various leaders of local civil bodies and general public also attended the function.

Congratulation, appreciation and presentation were the main highlights of the felicitation ceremony while a jovial feast marked the occasion.

THOUBAL: The Educational Gym Club (EGC), Wangbal Part-II Thongjao has organized 1st Appreciation Award and Prize distribution function to honour the successful students from Uyan and Wangbal area who have scored good marks in the Class X and XII exams conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM respectively at Wangbal Part-II Community Hall, Thoubal district.

The appreciation award instituted in the name of late Sairem Kuber Singh of Wangbal Part-II was attended by MLA Khangabok AC, Okram Surjakumar as chief guest; Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad member Md Hibjur Rahaman as functional president and Wangbal Gram Panchayat Pradhan Heisnam Manichandra Singh, CO 113 Bn BSF Hidam Subol Singh, Chairman KM Blooming Higher Secondary School Kh Menjor Mangang, Project Officer DRDA Thoubal Sapam Nabachandra Singh, SI Huidrom Ingo Singh and Wangbal GP Ward No 4 nominee member Laishram Tikendrajit Singh as guests of honour.

During the felicitaton function, 16 successful students in Class X exam and 15 successful students in Class XII exam were felicitated with citation and simple gifts.

Highest scorer in Class X exam from area covered by EGC, Thangjam Aishwaria child of Th Ajit of Uyan Makha Leikai and Class XII topper from Wangbal Lamboythong, Mayengbam Nevyka child of M Neharu were honoured with late Sairem Kuber Singh Appreciation Award in the function.
