Imphal, June 11 2019:
Condemning the act seen in a viral video in which some Indian politicians are seen dancing with some women at the Indo-Myanmar border, NEIDP has urged the people of Manipur , especially the women, to stay clear of the immoral politicians of the country.
Speaking to media persons at NEIDP office at Tera bazaar today, its State unit president, Dr Ng Bijoy said that it is indeed disappointing to see the pictures and videos of the incident which occurred when a team of politicians from Bihar came to the Indo-Myanmar border, as a part of the Act East policy, which have gone viral on social media sites.
It is high time for all to think what will happen when Act East policy is in full effect looking after such an incident, which does not seem out of place of the red light districts of the big cities in India, happening in the Indo-Myanmar border, he added.
It is imperative to take up steps to protect Manipur, he said.
Bijoy further alleged that the act of the Indian political leaders concerning the incident, shows that with the coming of the Act East policy, the people of the State might get trampled on by the big shots and businessmen from outside the State.
