Refuting the claim of busting a joint camp of KLO/KLA and PLA in a statement of the IGAR(S) at Manghlam village in Ukhrul district, information and publicity secretary, Kh Addy Kuki said the report was a baseless one and there was no joint there.
Speaking at its tactical headquarters located at a place in Sadar Hills, the spokesperson said that the group has no link with the PLA.
KLA/KLO is among the Kuki underground groups included among the signatory of the tripartite Suspension of Operation (SoO) and the group is abide by the ground rule of the agreement.
He charged the 23 Assam Rifles of spreading wrong propaganda and it was done by the commander of its post at Nongdam, Major Tripathy in collusion with its CO.
Apart from threatening the villagers of Monghalm village by firing guns, the troops of AR also broken down the solar plate of the church of the village, he said charging that to cover up their excessive meted out to the villagers, AR is charging the KLO/KLA of maintaining link with the PLA.
He also insisted higher authority of the monitoring cell of the SoO to look into the matter meted out by the Assam Rifles.
