The All Manipur Working Journalists' Union has deeply condoled the untimely demise of News Editor of DDK, Imphal Robert J Baite who passed away at Shija Hospitals yesterday at about 3 pm.
A special condolence meeting was held by the Standing Committee of AMWJU at the premises of the Manipur Press Club today and a two minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Acknowledging his contribution to the field of journalism, during his short life span, AMWJU said that his death has left a deep void which will be difficult to fill.
The Union also shares the grief and pain of the bereaved family members, said a statement issued today.
The Ukhrul District Journalist Association has also condoled the untimely demise of Robert J.Baite, a promising and prominent journalist of the State and the News Editor of DD News, Imphal.
His untimely demise is not only a great loss for the family members but for all the tribal people of the State.
The UDJA said that there are no words enough to mourn the passing away of a young journalist, who had immense potential.
UDJA also shares the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family in the time of difficulties and pray that Lord Jesus Christ take care of the bereaved wife and his two young sons.
The State Level Kut Committee has also condoled the demise of Robert Baite.
