Chief Minister O Ibobi has asserted that resorting to violent tactics will not solve our problems but will only worsen it and therefore it is necessary that we sit down together and try to solve our problems through dialogue.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the "Lainingthou Khoriphaba Temple" at Nambol yesterday, Chief Minis.ter said that the presence of numerous student bodies, NGOs.and UGs groups in the State is hindering in bringing about peace and development as most of the group are self centred and at the same time using public money for their vested interest.
The diverse opinions put forward by these bodies have made the task of the Govt all the more difficult in solving complicated issue, added the Chief Minister.
The CM also said that the Congress led SPF Govt has been able to make a lot of progress in the developmental works undertaken in the State and further said that the Govt would continue with its developmental works as the financial conditions of the State have slightly improved during the rule of the SPF Govt.Referring to a memorandum submitted by Lainingthou Khoriphaba Thougal Marup, CM Ibobi said that the SPF Govt would not be able to earmark any money for the development of any particular religion as the SPF Govt is based on Secularism.
Chief Minister also donated Rs 50,000 to the temple board from his discretionary fund.
