BJP workers threaten to resign

BJP workers of three polling stations of Nachou village under Bishnupur A/C jointly submitted a memorandum to chief minister, party president, district president and Bishnupur BJP mandal president threatening to resign from the party if Govindas Konthoujam is fielded as the party candidate in the upcoming assembly election.
A meeting attended by BJP president and workers of four polling stations of Nachou village was convened on August 8 during which a number of resolutions was adopted.
The resolution included exerting pressure on the party leaders not to held Govindas, who recently joined the party, as candidate in the upcoming assembly election and also to resign from BJP primary membership if BJP leaders allot the party ticket to the former Congress MLA.
Signed by 61 members, the resolutions adopted in the meeting also decided to expand BJP booth committee in Nachou area ahead of the upcoming election.
